Equipment for the Aker Carbon Capture Project shipped from Finland, to Brevik, Norway.

In Brevik, CO2 from the Heidelberg Norcem production plant will becaptured, and Northern Lights will be responsible for the transportation ofliquid CO2 to temporary storage in Øygarden outside of Bergen and thereafterpermanent storage below seabed on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Northern Lights is part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’sfull-scale carbon capture and storage project. The carbon capture facility willbe up and running from 2024.
